We are currently seeking a Loop Leader. Within the framework of a value stream organization, you will be responsible for the tactical execution of Value Stream Improvement Plans and activities that are critical for the on-time delivery of quality products to our customers. Your role spans across production areas within the facility and at external suppliers, is a connection point for upstream and downstream processes, and coordinates priorities and product flow within defined loop(s).
You will report directly to a Value Stream Manager and enjoy an on-site, collaborative working environment in East Aurora, New York.
To be considered for the Loop Leader role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you...
- Bachelors degree with three (3) years in a production or manufacturing environment; or equivalent degree and relevant experience may be considered
- Technical Knowledge and experience:
- Advanced knowledge/experience in machining, assembly and test and/or production processes.
- Understands end-to-end process flow and impact to metrics
- Management of department based tactical execution, including aligning and balancing of resources
- Solid foundation of lean infrastructure knowledge and leadership - models the way for others in the work area
- Develops structured problem-solving methodology (A3, 5 Why, 8D, Production Pareto, and RC/CA) to approach issues and develop solutions with a continual improvement mindset.
- Facilitates / influences group together to solve a problem, starting to use structure (methodology) - leading to consistent results
- Recognize and escalate when effort is stalling
- Leadership/Behavioral Knowledge and experience:
- Has ability to facilitate / influence discussions with peers within Loop and value stream teams driving towards consensus
- Gains commitment to agreed upon action plans and follow-up to commitments within the organization
- Proven skills in verbal and written communication, relationship building
- Experience with leading and coaching peers and/or colleagues
- Experience with successfully facilitate team meetings
- Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent
- Has ability to influence business partners
As a Loop Leader you will be responsible for the following...
- Executes on the value stream activities based on defined Value Stream Improvement Plans and/or related activities. Successful execution of activities are key for on-time delivery of quality products within the assigned loops.
- Coordination of priorities and product flow between loop upstream and downstream processes. Escalates and helps to resolve issues between upstream and downstream processes.
- Manages schedule adherence within the loop(s).
- Facilitates and attends the appropriate Tier meeting(s) within the loop.
- Active participant in team based Lean events in assigned loop(s).
- Develops and adheres to individual Leader Standard Work
- Supports additional Value Stream or customer focused activities as required

Salary Range Transparency:Buffalo, NY $33.00-$51.00 Hourly
