Job Summary:

  • The Logistics Systems Integration Lead oversees the design and development of business processes and drives the creation of IT system requirements to support Transportation, Trade, and Warehouse operations. This role is accountable for documenting logistics capability needs and partnering with cross-functional enterprise teams to ensure the development of appropriate Enterprise IT systems and requirements.  

Additional Info:

  • This role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation
  • This role is 1st shift
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role requires up to 25% travel

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with multiple business partners to document the business processes and systems requirements to share with IT teams to realize project objectives
  • Represent multiple process/system needs and communicate these requirements to other representatives of the logistics and supply chain
  • Manage, analyze and maintain a large collection of data and documentation.
  • Articulation of business needs and ensure alignment of technical specifications
  • Application of deep knowledge of inventory, logistics, transportation and trade operations, best practices with both processes and technology
  • Responsible for tracking process improvements consistently across all business and IT systems deployments
  • The timely, accurate and concise communication of program status information.
  • Ability to operate independently at facilities and provide leadership to project teams
  • Accurately report project status, risk and mitigation plan
  • Ability to lead the review global operational locations, make improvement recommendations and work closely to implement improvements.
  • Deep understanding and adherence to IT systems development and deployment methodology standards
  • Provide operational global support and technical analysis for Logistical Systems

  • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Business Process Modeling and Architecture
  • Project Management
  • 10 years of experience within transportation, trade, warehouse and supply chain functions with a focus on operations & systems
  • 5 years experience of leading large enterprise programs
  • Experience improving operations at logistics facilities (medium to large size) and aligning systems to operational needs
  • Background in mainframe tools & technology
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management
  • Certification in Project Management

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
