Job Summary
Leads a team responsible for transportation operations across a third party supplier partner network in both the trucking and rail sectors. Responsible for customer engagement, and profit maximization across multiple lines of business.

50% travel expected in the greater Dallas, Houston & San Antonio, TX areas. Travel to others sites required per business needs.

While this position is remote, the ideal candidate would reside in the greater Texas area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors third party transportation network processes, procedures, and establishes programs which drive team performance toward departmental and organizational goals.
  • Provides direction and expertise on the implementation of cost-effective solutions for transportation services division.
  • Develops and ensures implementation of policies, conducts rate negotiation and supplier onboarding and performance management.
  • Works with internal and external customers, suppliers and other partners to resolve problems, respond to suggestions for improvement and enhancements, test, refine and implement solutions.
  • Engages directly with customers to solicit transportation as a services and act as an extension of business development and sales to ensure maximum available volume of material is sold.
  • Liese with source plant operational staff to ensure synonymity with transportation operations, plant outages, material quality concerns and personnel matters.
  • Identifies and ensures continuous development, improvement and implementation of the key business processes within the department.
  • Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities. Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and ensures quality control.
  • Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
  • 7 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement) and
  • must be at least 18 years of age and
  • legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Administrative Services\DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State

Pay: The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $90,000/annually - $110,000/annually . This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligable for a 15% bonus.
