ABOUT THE ROLE

The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading a dynamic team that provides order fulfillment to meet and exceed customer expectations. Fosters positive working relationships with customers. Responds proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints, and other employee relations matters. Such duties include verifying all orders leaving all facilities, completing shipping documents, selecting contracted freight carriers, and scheduling and routing them while upholding Malarkey's quality standards.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations for the warehouse department.
  • Ensures adequate and timely distribution consistent with good inventory control (across all sites).
  • Monitors plant and warehouse space daily to ensure FIFO methodology is followed with raw materials and shipment of finished goods.
  • Ensures all products are stored and handled in the safest, cleanest, most organized, and cost-effective method possible.
  • Supervises the unloading/loading of raw and finished goods and is responsible for good communication between material suppliers, plant personnel, and customers.
  • Promotes a sense of urgency to all past due orders.
  • Works closely with various departments in the company, including customer service, production, sales, quality, and accounting.
  • Supervises the team responsible for receiving purchase orders, packing out sales orders, and completing transfer orders.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts of finished goods and ensure proper standard operating procedures are in place for inventory counts.
  • Supervises employees, plans and assigns work, adjusts schedules to meet production requirements, analyzes and resolves work problems, and inspects materials to verify conformance with standards.
  • Hires evaluates and trains logistics employees by coaching and providing regular performance feedback; administers discipline; oversees training and development; and approves time.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's degree

Field of Study Preferred: Business or Supply Chain

Required Work Experience: Five years of supply chain, logistics, or transportation experience. Three years of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

Travel Requirements: N/A

Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge and experience with warehouse and supply chain functions.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
