Full Job Description
You will serve as a Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APML) located at Patuxent River, Maryland within the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division Sustainment Management Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. You will serve as the Precision Attack Strike Missile (PASM) APML within PMA-242 Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program.

Duties

  • You will be responsible for overall planning, management, execution, and oversight of integrated product support, sustainment, maintenance, and logistics operations for assigned weapon systems, AAE, and related mission support systems.
  • You will provide leadership and direction to Deputy Assistant Program Managers for Logistics (DAPMLs), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and cross-functional support personnel.
  • You will lead and coordinate all logistics, sustainment, readiness, and supportability activities across assigned programs.
  • You will assist Program Management in the planning, development, justification, execution, and oversight of logistics and sustainment budget requirements.
  • You will coordinate directly with Fleet activities, depots, supply activities, transportation organizations, and inventory control points.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following: Able to communicate clearly with Senior Leadership, both verbally and written. Experience with SETR testing criteria, rapid acquisition processes, Personnel Management resources, Budget management and Financial controls. Familiar with contracts management, CDRLs, SOWs, and contract performance. Able to develop logistics documentation and initial maintenance training. Experience with the development and execution of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives. Adept at prioritizing tasking, funding, workloads, and manpower resources.
