As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Serves as a senior logistics management specialist, providing expert advice and guidance on logistics operations, planning, and policy.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates logistics programs and initiatives to support organizational objectives.
- Coordinates and integrates logistics support across multiple functional areas, including supply, maintenance, transportation, and distribution.
- Analyzes complex logistics issues, identifies solutions, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Represents the organization in high-level meetings, working groups, and interagency forums.
- Prepares and presents briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership. Oversees and mentors junior logistics staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.

Information (SCI) - This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical Function which must continue uninterrupted after the
occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions - This is a Key Position; This position must be removed from the Ready Reserve and cannot become a member of the Ready Reserve. (IAW:
DoDD 1200.7, "Screening the Ready Reserve" - This is a drug testing position
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to
conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays. - May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include
overtime and/or irregular hours.
QualificationsYou may qualify at the GS-GS-15 if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
- Managing logistics operations, programs, or projects involving supply, maintenance, transportation, or distribution. Developing and implementing logistics policies and procedures.
- Analyzing logistics data and recommending improvements.
- Coordinating logistics support across multiple functional areas.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
EducationSubstitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
