Perform a variety of key tasks to ensure company objectives for cost savings, transportation operational efficiencies, and managing/improving the transportation processes to advance the objectives set by the Executive team.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Accountable for building and managing the distribution network
- Drive accountability for all Foodservice delivery / driver performance and 3rd party logistics service providers, through comprehensive KPI analytics and business reviews
- Create and recommend strategic plans and reviews to achieve operational objectives across our last mile locations
- Plan and manage logistics, warehouses, home delivery, and shipping customer service
- Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, schedules, routing, and carriers to meet parameters, specifications, and costs
- Direct, recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Oversee staff activities to ensure operations flow smoothly, instruct accordingly, and motivate performance
- Coordinate with the team to manage logistics operation systems from development through execution to create more efficiencies and meet cost, safety, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)- Bachelors or above in a related field
- 10 years' experience as logistics manager for large complex organization with matrix environment
- Excellent understanding of distribution related IT and data
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated management skills with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning
- Dynamic and strategic thinking abilities with a proven track record of operational excellence
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task various and conflicting responsibilities
- Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative without daily interaction with management
Pay Range:$148,400.00 - $277,100.00
