Position OverviewVision Bioenergy Oilseeds is seeking a Logistics and Aggregation Manager to lead and coordinate logistics activities across our grain aggregation, field operations, and seed operations functions. This position will serve as the primary owner of Vision logistics activities, with an emphasis on grain aggregation, commodity movement, contracting, and distribution.
The role will be approximately 80% focused on grain aggregation and logistics and 20% focused on seed operations and other operational support. The successful candidate will work closely with growers, aggregation and storage partners, transportation providers, crush facilities, internal field and operations teams, and external partners to ensure safe, accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of seed and grain. This is a hands-on role requiring strong logistics expertise, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and the ability to build effective relationships across a distributed agricultural supply chain.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrain Aggregation & Logistics- Manage Vision logistics activities with primary responsibility for grain aggregation, transportation, storage, and distribution.
- Work directly with grain aggregation partners, commodity handlers, and farm storage locations to coordinate contracting, storage, and distribution.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics utilizing truck, rail, and barge as appropriate.
- Manage aggregation and distribution contracts and associated documentation.
- Coordinate planting stock shipments, returns, and inventory reconciliation from Vision locations and distribution centers.
- Conduct in-person visits and audits of remote aggregation and storage locations.
- Assist with grain movements from farms to aggregation and transload sites.
- Coordinate and support distribution of grain to designated crush facilities.
- Identify, evaluate, and help develop new grain aggregation opportunities and logistics solutions.
- Build productive relationships with growers, storage facilities, transportation providers, transload operators, and other supply-chain partners.
- Monitor logistics activity and proactively address transportation, storage, inventory, or scheduling issues.
Partner & Field Operations Support- Work directly with our partners to provide required operational data, logistics information, and reporting.
- Support the Field Operations team with:
- Creation and maintenance of sales orders and purchase orders.
- Seed distribution and related logistics.
- Harvest receipts and reconciliation.
- Maintenance of associated operational records and documentation.
- Support for grain certification process as needed.
- Grain buyer and commission licensing requirements and state-level reporting.
- Maintain accurate and timely records supporting inventory, contracting, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
Seed Operations SupportServe as a knowledgeable backup and logistics resource for the Seed Operations team, including domestic shipments, export shipments, third-party logistics coordination as requested, shipment documentation, tracking, and reconciliation, as well as other operational activities necessary to maintain continuity during peak periods or team absences.
Systems & TechnologyThe Logistics and Aggregation Manager will work regularly with systems and tools including NetSuite, Smartsheet, FieldSync, Microsoft applications, and virtual networking and collaboration tools.
The successful candidate should be comfortable learning and working across multiple business systems while maintaining accurate records and reporting.
What Success Looks LikeSuccess in this role means grain, seed, and planting stock move accurately and efficiently through Vision's network; aggregation and distribution partners have clear communication and expectations; contracts, records, and reconciliations remain current; and internal teams have reliable logistics support and visibility.
The Logistics and Aggregation Manager will also help strengthen and expand Vision's aggregation network by identifying opportunities, building strong partner relationships, and developing practical logistics solutions that support the continued growth of the business.
Requirements
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agribusiness, supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in grain aggregation and logistics, including experience coordinating agricultural commodity movements, storage, transportation, and distribution.
- Strong working knowledge of agricultural commodity movements and storage operations.
- Experience coordinating truck transportation required; exposure to rail, barge, transload, and multimodal logistics strongly preferred.
- Experience working with growers, grain elevators, aggregation facilities, storage locations, processors, or similar agricultural partners preferred.
- Understanding of contracts, purchase orders, sales orders, inventory reconciliation, and operational documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, locations, partners, and priorities simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly around inventory, contracts, documentation, and reporting.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to identify operational issues, develop practical solutions, and follow through to resolution.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across internal departments and external partner teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20%, with travel varying based on planting, harvest, and other peak operational periods.
- Ability to conduct on-site visits and audits at farms, storage locations, aggregation sites, transload facilities, and other operational locations.
