PurposeTo provide leadership and expertise in the warehousing and fulfillment processes used at STIHL Inc. facilities. Become a change agent for continuous improvement and standardization. Support initiatives that drive safety, service, accuracy and efficiency improvements.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Manages challenging projects ranging from analysis, planning and implementation in an international sales and logistics environment, as well as optimizing the supply chain within the STIHL Group.
- Develops and evaluates logistics concepts for new products / suppliers.
- Responsible for logistical requirements associated with implementing and optimizing ERP system(s).
- Develops further implementation of STIHL warehouse logistics standards for the optimization of existing and planned warehouses.
- Develops logistics key figures, tools and instruments as well as supports metrics collection for the Logistics Balanced Scorecard, including group-wide logistic cost and performance recording.
- Participates in the review and, if necessary, application of new logistics technologies at the STIHL warehouse locations.
- Participates in the capital investment process for the warehouse locations.
- All other duties and responsibilies as assigned.
Specifications- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration (analytical focus), or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant professional experience OR 10+ years of relevant professional experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, analytics, continuous improvement, or related disciplines.
- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management ERP systems.
- 10% travel required.
