Description
Tuvli, an Akima company, is hiring for a Logistics Specialist III to support our DoS client located in Washington, DC.
The individual in this position will serve as a LogisticSpecialist III supporting the Countermeasures Directorate, and/or its subordinate offices. This position may require overseas and/or domestic travel.
Responsibilities
- Provide oral and written advice on specific issues regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP),Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports pertaining to the procurement handling, programming and inventory/accountability of over equipment deployed worldwide.
- Track all Purchase Requests andContracts submitted.
- Responsible for annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory, equipment and controlled loaned DoD/OGA (classified) and DS assets, and the movement of armored vehicles, equipment and systems for use at National test facilities.
Qualifications
- Proficient written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and Prime Contractor staff
- Proven ability to directly support overseas logistic positions
- For PSP positions only: Ability to use S-ILMS and ILMS in support of PSP logistics requirements. Order fulfillment, tracking, and communication with posts. Ability to coordinate classified pouch shipments as directed.
- For DEAV only: Ability to get certification for Hazmat using DOD and DOT requirements.Some positions require the ability to obtain TS/SCI, access to ACCM, and Department of Defense CAC Cards.
- Required to follow all laws and regulations pertaining to transporting of Government owned weaponry and ammunition.
- For ST positions only:Ability tocoordinatetraining for overseas Field Service Representatives and Logisticians on the use of CMMS mobile and production equipment, as well as the configuration of all tactical communications systems prior to shipment
- Knowledge of Maximo; Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) softwarepreferred, but not requiredEducation and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associates degree in Business, or other related areas of study
- Seven yearsexperience in logistics management required
