As part of a small, hardworking, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, development, testing, and qualification of advanced concept vehicles. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- General Loads and dynamic environment development for spacecraft and related ground systems
- Conduct detailed vibration and acoustic analyses using Wave6, focusing on full vehicle models to simulate real-world impacts.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders, contributing to strategic decisions on vehicle design and safety enhancements.
- Developing, solving, executing, and validating common loads and vibration analysis approaches such as finite element analysis, acoustic boundary element models, and statistical energy analysis
- Define and develop forcing functions (DAF, TBL, OASPL, and transient loads) for use in structural loads and response analyses
- Modeling, simulation, and verification of all segments of spacecraft operations, including launch, on-orbit, docking, and landing events
- Shock and vibration environment predictions and qualification test support
- Support configuration development and trade studies
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering.
- 5+ years experience in forecasting and authenticating structural dynamics and loads for flight vehicles.
- Proficiency in vibroacoustic analysis methods (FE, BEM, SEA) using Wave6
- Strong theoretical foundation in static and dynamic structural analysis.
- Proficient in addressing static and dynamic structural challenges using analytical methodologies, including hand calculations, proprietary tools, and third-party commercial software.
- Proficient in the creation, manipulation, and implementation of finite element models.
- Practical experience in specifying loads and dynamic environments for design applications.
- Experience with software such as Nastran, Matlab, and Femap, Hyperworks, or equivalent FEM pre-post software.
- Skilled in generating Matlab or Python scripts for engineering applications.
- Demonstrated passion for the development of flight vehicle structures.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience developing and verifying shock environments (SRS characterization, pyroshock & mechanical shock predictions)
- Experience in developing and integrating reduced order (e.g., Craig-Bampton) finite element models.
- Proficiency in conducting transient simulations with reduced order finite element models.
- Proven track record in innovative analysis techniques.
- In-depth experience with spacecraft, launch vehicles, or aerospace systems.
Compensation Range for:
