Full Job Description
Elevate is partnering with a leading automotive retailer to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its in-house legal team. With a nationwide presence, our client supports customers through automotive sales, financing, maintenance, repair, and related services across a large network of dealership operations.

This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking legal department that sits at the intersection of litigation, legal operations, customer relations, and emerging technology. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing consumer disputes, supporting litigation matters, partnering with dealership leadership, and helping drive operational efficiencies through the use of AI and legal technology.

Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid: In-office full-time during the first month, then 3 days in-office and 2 days remote)

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 base salary + up to a 5% annual bonus

Position Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will serve as a key member of the legal team, managing a high-volume portfolio of consumer complaints, demand letters, and litigation-related matters arising from dealership operations. This individual will work closely with attorneys, dealership General Managers, outside counsel, and business stakeholders to ensure legal matters are addressed efficiently, professionally, and consistently.

The role combines traditional litigation support with legal operations responsibilities and requires someone who is comfortable embracing technology, leveraging AI-powered tools, and adapting to evolving legal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage consumer complaints and demand letters from intake through resolution.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of all legal matters within the LawView matter management system.
  • Utilizing AI tools to streamline legal operations.
  • Partner with dealership General Managers and business leaders to address legal issues and customer concerns.
  • Support attorneys in responding to customer disputes, regulatory inquiries, and litigation matters.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation strategy, discovery requests, document collection, and case preparation.
  • Assist with monthly reporting, trend analysis, and matter tracking.
  • Ensure legal matters are properly documented, organized, and managed throughout their lifecycle.
  • Provide practical guidance and support to dealership personnel on legal and operational issues.
  • Handle a variety of legal projects and day-to-day matters as they arise.
  • Support subpoena review and analysis.
  • Evaluate claims and identify potential risks or information gaps.

Qualifications:

  • 4 plus years of Litigation experience.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with matter management systems, legal technology platforms, or legal operations processes.
  • Comfortable adopting and utilizing AI-powered legal tools.
