Job Title
Litigation Counsel

About your role:

A successful Litigation Counsel at Fiserv supports enterprise-wide disputes, claims, subpoenas, documents requests and government investigations. Acting as staff counsel you provide counsel to business stakeholders on legal matters and requests from third parties. You also assist in developing and maintaining all forms of document collection and escalation processes.

What you'll do:
  • Advise and assist the legal department's document collection and research team.
  • You will monitor processes and procedures to ensure they align with Fiserv Policies.
  • Responsible for being the first line of defense to mitigate risk to enterprise from outside requests and government investigations.
  • Assist in preparing discovery responses in active litigation and will be an expert in Fiserv data, systems and processes.
  • You will escalate and work with Senior leaders on significant issues.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and in good standing with State Bar with no disciplinary record.
  • Licensed to practice, and ability to become licensed as in-house counsel to practice, in the applicable state.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience as a transactional lawyer.
  • Experience communicating legal guidance clearly in writing and verbally with internal stakeholders, external parties, and counsel.
  • Experience diagnosing complex problems, develop effective recommendations, negotiate resolutions, and resolve issues in a professional manner.


Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience interacting with senior management/leadership.
  • Experience working with outside counsel.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills and attention to detail, particularly with respect to risk identification and mitigation.


How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
