Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
Represent corporate clients in Federal and State Courts, handling civil actions against individuals and entities causing real property damage, personal property damage, and business losses to our clients.
Collaborate with a variety of forensic experts to investigate and evaluate the legal and financial viability of different causes of action in both single and multi-party litigation.
Draft pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, motions, and briefs.
Prepare for, attend, and present at court hearings.
Take and defend depositions.
Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.
Try both bench and jury trials.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Minimum of five years of litigation experience, preferably prosecuting and/or defending product defect claims, property damage claims, construction issues, or property insurance claims.
Experience working with various forensic experts (e.g., fire origin and cause, mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, chemical; material, human factors, accounting, and standard of care) is highly desired.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and presenting oral arguments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
