A Welder/Machinist plays an important role in our Service department providing technical expertise to ensure superior customer service in the repair, fabrication of parts and structures in our shop.

In a typical day, YOU will: - Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Operate electric, acetylene and semi-automatic welding and automatic burning equipment effectively and efficiently
- Fabricate structures from drawings or sketches
- Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within the established time standards out in the field
- Restore damaged steel and cast iron components by welding, dissembling and assembling relative components
- Maintain an inventory of materials used for fabrication
- Maintain and build strong customer relations
Must-haves for this role: - Experience in the technique of line-boring (huge asset)
- Post-secondary education in the field of welding or conventional machining
- 3 years professional experience working with GMAW, SMAW and FCAW techniques
- CWB or Canadian Red seal certified (an asset)
