Full Job Description
Your Role: MilliporeSigma Corporation is searching for Licensing and Business Development Director covering Advanced Solutions' QC testing portfolio in the pharma and food and beverage industries with a special focus on automated QC processes and microbial / pathogen testing in pharma. You will identify and execute external partnerships in line with the portfolio strategies. You will source and manage a broad network of partners with the intent to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities for strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities contributing toward annual revenue and margin targets. Deal types to include, but not be limited to, co-development, licensing, distribution, co-marketing, OEM, and research collaborations. You will be responsible for scouting partners, evaluating and negotiating deals, and drafting and executing contracts while coordinating multiple cross-functional stakeholders such as R&D, legal, product management, regulatory, and quality. Perform additional business-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the team's objectives and ensure operational efficiency. Travel up to 30% of time, including international. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science AND 10+ years industry experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships (non-sales), BD&L with demonstrated deal closure of deals valuing >=5M USD+ 10Y NPV OR • Graduate Degree in a Scientific field AND 5+ years industry experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships (non-sales), BD&L with demonstrated deal closure of deals valuing >=5M USD+ 10Y NPV Preferred Qualifications: • MBA • Experience working within a matrixed environment. • Understanding of IP protections, contract negotiations, and Venture Capital. • Demonstrated experience in negotiation and knowledge of basic contract language and contract negotiation. • Financial acumen and ability to build and defend financial analyses and business cases including DCFs for equipment/instrument, consumables and digital assets. • Strong networking and intelligence gathering skills. • Ability to operate as individual contributor in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources. • Strong presentation skills targeted to C-suite audiences. Pay Range for this position: $167,500-251,300 The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
