Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure

Licensure Required: Active Tennessee LPC or LCSW State License

Position Summary

The Licensed Therapist provides clinical consultation services to school teams across our partner districts through InSite's Tier 3 clinical escalation model. Working primarily via telehealth through the InSite Wellness Platform, this clinician supports school staff following threat assessments, advises on student intervention and return-to-school decisions, and provides referral pathways for students requiring ongoing care. This is a meaningful, high-impact role for a licensed therapist who wants to expand their reach beyond a traditional caseload and make a direct contribution to student safety and well-being across a large urban district.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Consultation
  • Provide licensed clinical consultation to school teams following school-initiated threat assessments, on request
  • Review available case information with the school team and advise on appropriate interventions, risk considerations, and next steps
  • Support return-to-school decisions by consulting with school staff on student readiness and appropriate conditions for return
  • Provide referral recommendations for students requiring ongoing clinical care beyond the school's capacity
  • All consultation is advisory in nature - InSite clinicians support school teams' decision-making without replacing the school's own assessment process or judgment

Documentation and Quality
  • Document all consultations within the InSite Wellness Platform in accordance with FERPA, HIPAA, and InSite's clinical documentation standards
  • Participate in monthly case quality reviews with InSite's National Medical Director
  • Maintain clinical records in compliance with applicable Tennessee state law and professional licensing requirements
  • Complete InSite's internal clinical onboarding and orientation within 30 days of hire

Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with school counselors, psychologists, administrators, and InSite's account management team
  • Coordinate with InSite's BTAM Trainers when clinical consultation follows a school-initiated threat assessment
  • Participate in team meetings, clinical supervision, and professional development as required

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort working with complex behavioral presentations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate clinical findings clearly to non-clinical staff
  • Comfortable working in a virtual/telehealth environment

Preferred
  • Experience in school-based mental health, behavioral threat assessment, or student safety
  • Prior experience working with children, adolescents, or youth in a clinical or school-based setting
  • Experience working directly within K-12 school environments
