Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Phoenix, AZ

Full-Time | K-12 | On-Site | W-2
$40-$45/hour, based on experience
Year-Round PTO + Benefits

HealthPRO Pediatrics is looking for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our school-based team in Phoenix, AZ.

This is a full-time, on-site position supporting K-12 students with visual impairments. You'll work alongside educators and other professionals to help students access their education, develop independence, and succeed in the classroom.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education with a focus in Visual Impairment
  • K-12 Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
  • Meet all Arizona Department of Education requirements
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities

  • Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students' educational deficits
  • Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Special Education services
  • Provide Special Education sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP
  • Maintain all documentation required by the district including, but not limited to, notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP's
