Responsibilities:This role maintains Responsible Charge over all surveying activities and complex survey projects, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while overseeing survey operations and, when licensed, signing and sealing survey documents. Responsibilities include coordinating boundary and right-of-way reestablishment projects; preparing project estimates, technical and cost proposals; managing budgets, cost control, recordkeeping, and quality assurance programs, including ISO 9000 standards. The position requires conducting client meetings, public interactions, processing field data using Carlson software, performing control network adjustments with StarNet software, and preparing a variety of survey deliverables including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, plats, construction stakeout computations, and cut sheets. The successful candidate will ensure projects are completed within scope, schedule, and budget while reviewing deliverables for completeness and accuracy. Extensive knowledge of state land surveying laws, minimum standards of practice, geomatics, GIS, GPS, LiDAR, aerial mapping, UAS services, Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE), facility space utilization, geodetic surveys, CAD applications, highway and land development plans, traffic control and safety procedures, advanced survey computations, contract management, field and office survey operations, boundary and topographic surveying, 3D scanning and point cloud editing, professional ethics, technical standards, and industry regulations is essential.

- This position pays between $110,000 and $130,000 annually and is an exempt position. The specific amount within this range will be influenced by the work location and various factors such as internal equity, professional skills, work experience, and pertinent education or training. Minimum Requirements:
- 10 - 15 years related experience
- Professional Surveyors License required (MD, VA and DC preferred)
- A valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license, or an equivalent out-of-state driver's license is required.
