Must be located in the Maryland Area* IntroductionAs a Senior Survey Technician, you'll play a critical role in connecting field operations with office deliverables, ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of surveying projects while collaborating with clients, project teams, and field crews. From supporting project planning and integrating innovative technologies to solving complex challenges in both the field and office, you'll be a key contributor to successful project execution. Project travel is required but is not expected to exceed 20%, and we are seeking candidates local to the Baltimore, MD area.
Responsibilities:Lead survey crews and coordinate equipment, schedules, and daily field operations to ensure projects stay on track and meet client expectations. Perform and oversee a variety of survey projects, including ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary surveys, construction stakeouts, and FEMA Elevation Certifications. Conduct complex survey computations, process and analyze field data, and ensure all deliverables meet industry standards and quality requirements. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to support project planning, estimating, and execution. Additionally, help drive innovation by supporting the implementation of emerging technologies such as 3D laser scanning and cloud-based data editing, while serving as a resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.

- This position pays between $90,000 and $100,000 annually and is an exempt position. The specific amount within this range will be influenced by the work location and various factors such as internal equity, professional skills, work experience, and pertinent education or training. Minimum Requirements:
- 10 years experience in land surveying.
- Experience with highway and land development plans.
- Advanced knowledge of CAD as well as Carlson and/or InRoads.
- A valid driver's license for occasional project travel.
Preferred Requirements:
- National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) or Certified Survey Technician (CST) Level 2.
- Experience with Geomatics, LiDAR, UAS, GIS, GPS, and SUE.
- Experience with Leica Infinity and 3D scanning.
- Strong understanding of survey standards, safety practices, and field procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and efficiency.
