Licensed Practical Nurse - School Nurse

Seven Hills Pediatric Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide health care and medical support to students during classroom and therapy activities. This role is ideal for a licensed nurse with a passion for pediatric care, interdisciplinary teamwork, and supporting children with developmental and medical complexities in an inclusive, school-based environment.
Pay: $39.19/hour

Responsibilities
Deliver health services during classroom and therapy sessions.
Monitor daily student health and administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
Collaborate with classroom and nursing teams to ensure continuity of care.
Ensure compliance with infection control practices and maintain a safe environment.
Communicate changes in medical needs, equipment trials, or care plans to the interdisciplinary team.
Provide direct support to the Eating Skills program and aquatic therapy sessions.
Accompany students on field trips and community outings based on care needs.
Teach monthly health classes focused on nutrition, hygiene, and general wellness.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Current Massachusetts LPN license required.
- 1–3 years of LPN experience; experience with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
- CPR/First Aid required
Skills and Knowledge:
Passion for working with medically complex children.
Ability to maintain calm under pressure and respond to medical emergencies.
Comfort with lifting and physical support tasks.
Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and emotional needs of students and families.
Flexibility to support varied classroom and recreational settings.
Strong communication and organizational skills; team-oriented and adaptable.
