Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Position Summary

Trusted Medical is seeking a licensed Psychologist to join our growing clinical team. This position is ideal for clinicians who enjoy conducting focused psychological evaluations without the demands of ongoing treatment, crisis management, or extensive psychological testing.

Providers perform disability compensation and pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans in support of the VA disability claims process. These evaluations are assessment-focused and do not involve treatment planning or long-term patient care.

Psychologists work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical team dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Psychologist, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive yet focused face-to-face psychological evaluations for Veterans filing disability claims.
  • Perform psychosocial interviews and administer brief clinically appropriate assessment measures as needed. Comprehensive psychological testing (including IQ, personality, or full neuropsychological batteries) is not required.
  • Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and all required clinical documentation accurately, thoroughly, and within established turnaround times.
  • Exercise independent clinical judgment while maintaining responsibility for all examination findings and documentation.
  • Consult with Trusted Medical clinical leadership and interdisciplinary providers regarding assessment findings when appropriate.
  • Deliver an exceptional Veteran experience through professionalism, empathy, and outstanding customer service.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical and operational teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
  • Participate in team meetings, quality initiatives, and organizational efforts that support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Adhere to all clinical policies, operational procedures, federal guidelines, and documentation standards established by Trusted Medical.

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology.
  • Graduation from an APA-accredited doctoral program or completion of an APA-accredited postdoctoral program.
Licensure
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state where services are provided.
  • Certification within the applicable discipline, where required.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years of post-doctoral clinical experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience performing VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) or Disability Medical Examinations is highly preferred but not required.

Required Credentials
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Required Health Screening
  • TB Screening (completed within the past 12 months).
  • Hepatitis B titers (completed within the past 12 months).

  • MMR titers (within the past 12 months).
  • Varicella titers (within the past 12 months).
  • Tdap vaccination (within the past 10 years).
  • Current seasonal influenza vaccination.
Additional Requirements
