About the role

The Liaison Officer (LNO) II supports a team within the Department of War, serves as a critical link between operational units, government agencies, stakeholders, and program leadership. This role ensures the smooth exchange of information, synchronization of mission priorities, and alignment of operational and analytical requirements across diverse organizations. The Liaison Officer enhances mission effectiveness by facilitating communication, supporting coordination efforts, and ensuring that operational insights and intelligence considerations are integrated into planning and execution activities. The position requires discretion, strong interpersonal skills, and an understanding of the unique demands associated with SOF and IC environments.

What you'll do

Provides intermediate-level liaison support with increased independence and responsibility. Responsibilities include coordinating information flow across operational, intelligence, and program offices, identifying issues that require leadership attention, preparing formal summaries or reports, and ensuring that requirements and decisions are communicated accurately and in a timely manner. Additional duties include supporting operational planning activities, maintaining situational awareness of mission developments, and contributing to cross-organizational synchronization efforts. This role requires sound judgment, a strong understanding of mission objectives, and an ability to facilitate communication among diverse stakeholders.

The pay range for this position is estimated to run between $160,000 and $185,000 per year based on experience. This position is benefits-eligible.
