About The RoleThis position assists the Director, Senior Counsel in providing legal advice to the Company concerning commercial contracts. Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts will be essential. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and detail oriented. The Counsel works closely with multiple internal clients and departments.
What You'll Do- Draft, review and negotiate various contracts and transactional documents that meet the Company's risk tolerance and other standards.
- Identify and resolve project and business risks creatively.
- Advise business units on legal risk and compliance for their initiatives.
- Provide sound, cogent legal advice related to various types of contracts, including complex contractor and consultant master service agreements, software licensing, vendor agreements, and various other commercial contracts.
- Oversee Company's contract management platform.
- Other transactional legal matters as needed, such as corporate document drafting/review and land acquisition work.
- Monitor legal developments that affect the Company's business.
- Assist with monitoring and implementing Company's legislative and regulatory agenda and issues as needed.
- Must sometimes complete assignments with very short notice under extreme time constraints.
- Other duties as assigned.
RequirementsWhat We're Looking For- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required.
- Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant Counsel experience.
- Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Current, valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
