- Hybrid Environment - This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. Subject to change. The in-office requirement is a minimum of three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), with the flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.
- Salary - The base salary for the position is $130,000- $160,000. The starting base salary is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, experience and internal equity.

This role is eligible to participate in our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), which provides an opportunity to earn additional compensation based on individual contribution and overall business performance. The AIP is a discretionary program and eligibility, performance measures, and payouts are subject to the terms of the applicable plan.
About This OpportunityWe are recruiting a commercial lawyer to join our legal team. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial, as Legal Counsel, you will work closely with the company's legal, commercial, sales and procurement teams on contractual, regulatory and other commercial legal matters. The successful candidate will have experience working in private practice or as an in-house lawyer supporting a dynamic business environment and bring a business-focused mindset.
Responsibilities- Providing legal advice and counsel to advance Coke Canada Bottling's vision to become the World's Greatest Bottler, Built by the Best People.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of complex commercial agreements.
- Advising and providing counsel to business stakeholders on a broad range of corporate-commercial matters, including negotiation strategy, legislative/regulatory matters, RFP development, promotional initiatives and corporate policies.
- Identifying, monitoring and providing updates on case law, legislative developments and other matters relevant to the business.
- Identifying and evaluating business risks and advising key stakeholders accordingly.
- Building strong relationships with leaders across the business and with critical external partners including external counsel.
Qualifications- Law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario or the Barreau du Québec.
- Two to five years of post-call experience practicing corporate-commercial law at a reputable law firm and/or in a corporate legal department.
- Experience working with a large company or law firm operating across multiple provinces is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of commercial law, applicable regulations and industry best practices.
- Sound business acumen and the ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex matters and effectively prioritize competing demands.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both written and verbal, is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, relationship management, organizational, leadership and project management skills.
- Flexible, approachable and collaborative working style.
- Solutions-oriented, with the ability to think pragmatically and strategically.
