Responsibilities - Independently and collaboratively design and develop entry and advanced level course content for both internal and external audiences under tight deadlines and in multiple modalities.
- Utilizing a variety of multimedia technology and authoring tools, with an emphasis on promoting interactivity and/or gamification as appropriate (Articulate Storyline).
- Conducting effective needs analysis, project management, influencing, course development, and evaluation conversations with a variety of audiences.
- Effectively liaise between content experts to gather, create, validate, update, and retire content on an iterative basis and under tight timelines.
- Evaluate learning material use & effectiveness and make changes as applicable to ensure maximum learning retention.
- Plan and conduct information-gathering activities with subject matter experts (interviews, stakeholder sessions, engagement events, etc.) to collect information required to produce appropriate documentation.
- Provide guidance and learning opportunities to team members regarding current learning methods, multimedia tools, content types, and testing formats.
- Support implementation of training through interaction with team members and customers
- Produce and maintain written documentation (such as user manuals, guides, and other documentation as required).
- Work with MS control partner groups to ensure materials are approved for internal/external audiences and are marketed appropriately.
- Facilitate and present training sessions for employees and clients.
Qualifications - Proven success (2+ years' experience) with instructional design with a focus on adult education across various applications and technologies, including multimedia, curriculum, and course development skills.
- Degree, diploma or equivalent training (completed or in progress) in a related discipline (Information Design, Instructional Design, Technical Writing or Curriculum Development) is required.
- Attention to detail and strong copy-editing skills.
- Proficiency using a variety of software platforms for curriculum and course development, such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT is an asset.
- Have a strong eye for design and the ability to execute on creative concepts
- High level of comfort with learning complex technical concepts through a variety of approaches, including eLearning, self-directed learning, and hands-on experience.
- Proven communication and meeting facilitation skills to communicate effectively with technical subject matter experts in determining business needs.
- Proven ability to make appropriate decisions and deliver results under tight timelines and in ambiguous circumstances.
- Demonstrated competency with common technology and technical concepts, including but not limited to email, internet, Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
- Strong attention-to-detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with global financial institutions and or software as a service in an agile environment is an asset.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment which includes ongoing learning and training opportunities.
