Description

The Learning & Development Senior Specialist is responsible for analyzing organizational training and development needs and creating strategic plans for learning programs that drive business performance. This role designs and delivers training curricula, professional development initiatives, and related consulting interventions. It involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing program implementation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess organizational training needs through analysis and consultation with business leaders.
  • Develop comprehensive training strategies, proposals, and implementation plans.
  • Design, customize, and implement onboarding and professional development programs, with a focus on technical and role-based learning.
  • Establish and maintain standardized training frameworks, templates, and evaluation processes for consistent delivery.
  • Select, certify, and schedule instructors and vendors; oversee vendor and consultant partnerships.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, recommending improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Deploy and manage learning systems, including computer-based and virtual training programs.
  • Stay current with best practices, trends, and research in learning, instructional design, and employee development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with organizational goals and standards.
  • Assist in creating annual training plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Lead and manage internal and cross-functional projects to enhance learning solutions and scalability.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Instructional Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing training programs; strong background in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and full training lifecycle (analysis through evaluation).
  • Proven ability to design impactful learning solutions that accelerate performance and align with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Instructional Design, or related field.
  • 7-9 years of progressive Learning & Development experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience creating technical training programs, including onboarding for technical roles.
  • Strong ability to influence senior leaders and secure business investments for training initiatives.
  • High degree of integrity, initiative, and decision-making ability.
