The Learning + Leadership team is a global group of learning professionals specialising in learning design, delivery, learning platform management, and program management. We are responsible for all types of learning, including onboarding, functional, leadership, and personal development. Our team supports retail store teams, call centres, distribution centres, and head office teams worldwide. We help lululemon achieve its long- and short-term goals by partnering with the business to deliver the right learning, to the right people, in the right way, at the right time.

core responsibilities

Reporting into the Senior Manager, Learning Design, the Learning Designer is responsible for design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative learning solutions that enhance performance and engagement across our organization. You will manage end-to-end learning design projects, collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts, and ensure all learning experiences align with strategic goals and brand standards.
  • Lead the design, development and implementation of blended and digital learning programs for diverse audiences, applying best practices in adult learning and personalisation strategies
  • Create immersive and engaging learning experiences, including in-person and virtual ILT sessions, labs, eLearning courses, videos, presentations and user guides
  • Conduct needs analysis and discovery sessions to identify performance gaps, learning opportunities, and recommend AI-driven learning analytics solutions
  • Break complex systems and processes down into training modalities that are easily understood and retained by learners
  • Maintain and revise existing learning materials, keeping specific audience, learning modality, and other learning considerations in mind while always looking for the most efficient way to express the desired learning objectives
  • Ensure all learning content adheres to organisational learning philosophy, technical specifications, and brand guidelines, with a focus on global audiences.
  • Design branching scenarios, storyboards and scripts, and convert them into animated, interactive activities to support the successful delivery of learning
  • Establish and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners to meet project milestones in a dynamic environment
  • Collect and report on post-training metrics and incorporate feedback into future training iterations
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications for multiple concurrent projects, demonstrating adaptability and influence
qualifications
  • Minimum 5 year of experience learning or instructional design, including needs analysis and solution design for global and diverse audiences.
  • Experience in building content for large-scale programs focused on functional onboarding, learning and development ecosystems, and technical training
  • Demonstrated experience delivering functional learning initiatives for audiences in finance, merchandising, supply chain, or technology.
  • Proven ability to align learning solutions with business outcomes, especially in performance-driven environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with digital authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, or equivalent), video creation tools (e.g. Premier Pro, Synthesia), and learning management systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, with demonstrated adaptability and stakeholder influence.
  • Advanced facilitation skills and experience delivering complex software training.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in exploring emerging learning technologies, tools, and design trends (microlearning, gamification, adaptive learning).
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and consulting with stakeholders on learning solution content and timeline.
  • A post secondary degree in Instructional Design, Human Performance Improvement, Learning Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating measurable impact and innovation in learning design.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$81,500-$107,000annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
