Leadership Development Partner
Location: Mahwah, NJ

The People Experience (PX) team is seeking two Leadership Development Specialists to provide hands-on support across the Americas region, supporting leadership and employee growth and onboarding. This role partners closely with stakeholders across the entire Americas organization and at the Global Volvo Car Academy to ensure learning programs are effective, engaging, and scalable.

What you'll do

Onboarding
  • Design, deliver and continuously improve Americas Regional Onboarding Program in tight collaboration with Business Leaders and PX Business Partners. Support necessary customization based on target group


Learning & Development
With a main focus on Leadership Development and mandatory trainings;
  • Being a role model for Volvo Cars Leadership and Culture in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure global leadership programs and mandatory training are delivered to a high standard across the region. When necessary, customize to the local target group always based on business needs.
  • Design, deliver, and continuously improve prioritized regional learning and development programs aligned to business priorities and measured through clear KPIs.
  • Engage, advise, and guide learners and evaluate the achievement of intended learning outcomes
  • Plan for and document training events including course enrollments and completion
  • Stay up to date on trends and tools in relevant areas
  • Create and run management team development workshops catered to individual team needs, assessments results, and development centers
  • Project lead learning & development initiatives

What you'll bring

  • Four-year degree in Education, Training, HR or related field, or a proven track record of being an appreciated senior leader or leadership development expert
  • At least 5 years of experience training in both a corporate and manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong training design skills, including adult learning theory and needs analysis and focus on the user experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills and including presence in the room
  • Highly organized with strong time and project management capabilities
  • Collaborative team player able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Salary: $73,347 - $136,217

Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications, internal equity, location and company guidelines.
