Full Job Description

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

The Lead Workday Software Configurator is responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and maintaining Workday modules to support business operations and HR processes. This position partners with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions, ensuring optimal system performance and user experience.

What you'll do:
  • Configure and maintain Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Finance) based on business requirements, including business processes, security roles, calculated fields, and reporting.

  • Work with business partners and stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document requirements for new features, enhancements, and integrations.

  • Develop and execute test plans, perform unit and system testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for configuration changes and system updates.

  • Investigate and resolve issues related to Workday configurations and processes; provide ongoing support for end users.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation on configurations, business processes, and system changes.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance Workday functionality, streamline processes, and improve user experience.

  • Develop training materials and provide training to HR teams and end users to ensure effective use of Workday features.

  • Ensure configurations adhere to organizational policies, data privacy standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with HR, IT, and other relevant teams to support Workday projects, integrations, and system upgrades.

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience configuring and supporting Workday or a similar HRIS/ERP system.

  • Strong understanding of HR business processes and system workflows.

  • Experience with Workday business processes, security, integrations, and reporting.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Workday certification preferred (e.g., Workday HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Comp, Advance Comp).

What you'll bring:
  • Familiarity with Workday report writing and calculated fields.

  • Experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors).

  • Project management experience is a plus.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements.

Our Lead Workday Software Configurator earns between$116,700- $196,100 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
