This Opportunity

WSP is looking for an experienced Lead Water Resources Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should experience in hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, modeling, and design.

Your Impact

  • Lead the design and analysis of hydraulic structures, including channels, culverts, spillways, and stormwater management systems.


  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM).


  • Perform floodplain mapping and flood risk assessments.


  • Develop and review technical reports, designs, and specifications.


  • Permit Drawings experience.


  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, environmental scientists, and urban planners.


  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.


  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.


  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and ensure quality control.


  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.


  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead multidisciplinary teams.


Required Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydraulic and hydrology engineering or a related field.
