Job Description

The Lead UX Engineer on the Enterprise UX team will support firmwide UX governance and co-lead our internal design system, ShadCN-based UI libraries, and UI standards across the applications that power investment, operations, and corporate workflows. This hands-on role is centered on improving usability, enforcing consistent patterns, increasing component reuse, and advancing accessibility across a broad internal product ecosystem. The ideal candidate has managed complex Figma design systems and works effectively across design, engineering, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead firmwide UX governance with practical standards, reviews, and adoption guidance.
• Co-own the internal design system with design, engineering, and platform partners.
• Co-govern ShadCN UI asset libraries, React patterns, and component usage.
• Maintain Figma standards for tokens, variants, components, and documentation.
• Translate Figma patterns into production-ready React and TypeScript components.
• Partner with application teams to improve UI consistency across internal products.
• Review high-impact workflows for usability, accessibility, and implementation quality.
• Define guidance for design tokens, theming, interaction states, and layouts.
• Support adoption through documentation, examples, and team enablement sessions.
• Stay hands-on through code review, prototyping, and technical design discussions.
• Raise the quality bar for reusable UI, front-end architecture, and developer experience.

Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years in front-end, UX engineering, or design-system engineering.
• Deep React, TypeScript, and modern component-library development experience.
• Proven experience managing large, comprehensive design systems in Figma.
• Strong knowledge of Figma libraries, tokens, variants, and governance practices.
• Experience scaling design systems used by multiple product teams.
• Practical experience with ShadCN, Radix, Tailwind, or comparable UI primitives.
• Ability to translate design standards into maintainable production components.
• Strong accessibility judgment across components, patterns, and workflows.
• Clear communication with engineers, designers, product leads, and senior stakeholders.
• Comfort setting standards without slowing delivery or team autonomy.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Capital-markets, trading, risk, or data-dense enterprise UI experience.
• Familiarity with real-time grids, charts, blotters, and workflow-heavy applications.
• Experience with monorepos, shared packages, build tooling, and developer platforms.
• Exposure to desktop interoperability, FDC3, OpenFin, Tauri, or WebView2.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate design-system or UI delivery.
• Background supporting globally distributed product and engineering teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Firmwide UX standards, governance rituals, and adoption playbooks.
• Figma design-system libraries, tokens, components, and documentation.
• ShadCN-based UI asset libraries and reusable React/TypeScript components.
• Accessibility guidance, interaction patterns, theming, and visual consistency.
• Front-end enablement for teams building internal trading and analytics tools.
• Shared UI patterns for data-dense, workflow-heavy enterprise applications.
