Qualifications

• 12-15+ years of experience in Transmission & Distribution (utility or consulting) with a focus on HV substation/line design and grid studies.
• Proven framework and program management experience with utilities or transmission companies, showcasing strong client communication skills and mentoring capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng.) with Professional Engineer (PE) or P.Eng. eligibility.
• In-depth knowledge of North American interconnection standards, protection systems, and controls.
• Familiarity with construction and commissioning practices is essential.
• Experience integrating inverter-based resources such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is highly desirable.
• Ability to coordinate distributed teams and leverage Global Collaboration Centres effectively.

Responsibilities

• Establish a scalable Transmission & Distribution (T&D) offering focusing on owner's engineer services and detailed design for renewable interconnections.
• Lead the design and management of primary and secondary substations, including specifications, scopes, calculations, and reports.
• Develop distribution design capabilities for overhead and underground network systems, producing both concept and detailed designs along with cost estimates.
• Drive pursuit strategies with utilities and renewable Independent Power Producers (IPPs), collaborating with Clean Power leadership and Global Collaboration Centres.
• Create standardized design packages and workflows to enhance productivity and deliverables through global collaboration.
