About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Products Consultant to oversee the development and management of trade finance products, focusing on product governance and market analysis meeting client needs and collaborating with various teams to ensure product success.


In this role, you will:

  • Support Commercial LC and Standby LC product managers on product governance initiatives
  • Monitor product performance, analyze key matrices and identify areas for improvement
  • Conduct product testing, gather user feedback and iterate on product features
  • Ability to define and help resolve problems, identify product risks and propose solutions to mitigate them
  • A grasp of how letter of credit data flows to help ensure proper accounting, data flows and reporting
  • Consult with clients on products such as payment, trade, risk mitigation and project financing
  • Develop and execute business development plans and proposals for product
  • Act as primary product specialist for varied portfolio of clients developing and executing business development plans and closing deals
  • Support product development, initiative and campaigns
  • Present recommendations as a product specialist within set guidelines
  • Be responsible for effective partnerships with other departments
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Banking Products experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of trade finance products, processes, and lifecycle management
  • Strong analytical thinking with sound problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Solid knowledge of applicable regulations, risk, and compliance frameworks
  • Extensive expertise in letters of credit and associated governing rule sets (e.g., UCP, ISP)
  • Proficient in product analytics, including designing and interpreting performance reports
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver against product roadmaps


Job Expectations:

  • Up to 20% travel

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.

  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.
