As a Senior Civil Design Technician, you will play a critical role in transforming complex civil and environmental concepts into constructible realities. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will help design infrastructure that supports resilient communities across British Columbia (Vancouver, Kelowna, Victoria), Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton), or Ontario (GTA)-bringing purpose, precision, and impact to every project.

Your Impact
  • Interpret topographic survey data, field notes, and engineering inputs to produce accurate, high-quality civil design drawings.
  • Develop and manage advanced Civil 3D models that support design analysis and infrastructure layouts.
  • Lead drafting and design components on large, multidisciplinary projects while ensuring compliance with WSP CAD standards and quality processes.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver complete, coordinated design packages.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate designers, strengthening technical capability and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Integrate WSP's Life-Saving Rules into daily work, prioritizing safety in both office and field environments.

  • Diploma or CAD certificate with 8+ years of civil, environmental, or related drafting/design experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on Civil 3D experience, with a strong commitment to CAD standards and quality control.
  • Proven ability to prepare complete drawing packages using survey data, client information, and field notes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced calculations and data manipulation in Excel to support engineering workflows.
  • Experience with additional tools such as Plant 3D, Revit, ReCap, Vulcan, MinePlan, Global Mapper, Surfer, gINT, OpenGround, MicroStation, Autodesk Construction Cloud is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.

Compensation:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
