Overview

We are seeking a full-time Lead Technical Program Manager at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area.This role will define the vision, roadmap, and operating direction for work management solutions including Azure DevOps and related platforms. As part of this effort, you will work across engineering and business organizations to understand needs, translate them into scalable solutions, drive adoption and continuous improvement, and guide standardization while enabling flexibility where appropriate. Driving the migration efforts moving from our existing platform to Azure DevOps will be part of your portfolio. You will also partner with software engineering teams to document, design, and build the software needed to support this strategy.

Essential Functions
  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, and implementation of Garmin's work management solutions across Azure DevOps and related platforms
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business teams across the company to understand planning, execution, reporting, and governance needs.
  • Translate business and organizational requirements into scalable work management processes, workflows, data structures, and tooling solutions.
  • Align senior stakeholders across organizations around shared priorities and sequencing
  • Anticipate medium to long-term impacts within the owned portfolio
  • Lead complex programs that include external partners or customers, managing cross-country dependencies
  • Present integrated program status, risks, and tradeoffs to senior leadership with clear, decision-supported information
  • Provide execution leadership and mentorship to Technical Program Managers working on contributing programs
  • Ability to maintain a regular and consistent physical presence in the assigned work location
  • Ability to demonstrate reliable, predictable and punctual attendance

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management AND a minimum of 9 years of experience in technical program management, program management, product management, or equivalent experience with shipping software or cloud services
  • Proven ability to orchestrate work across multiple teams and disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end delivery of software products and/or technology features from inception to production release
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise work management practices, workflows, and governance models.
  • Clear, concise communication with engineering and business leadership
  • Strong cross-organizational influence and strategic thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to make prioritization and investment tradeoffs
  • Must be detailed-oriented and possess the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task in a flexible, fast-paced and challenging environment to effectively meet deadlines

Desired Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and related tooling ecosystems with the ability to define scalable usage patterns across teams.
