Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025!

When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.

This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking a Lead CT Technologist (Full Time)

Our ideal candidate will work under the direction of Manager. The Radiology department provides general diagnostic imaging services during the day, the evening, mid-nights and weekend. The Lead CT Tech. is also the point person for transports. Ability to demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines is of vital importance. Maintaining equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition is expected. Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to favorably promote the services offered at the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Completion of AMA-sponsored School of Radiologic Technology.
  • 4 years' experience as radiology technologist.
  • 3 years of professional experience that demonstrates a progressive leadership background.

Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
