About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer (Informatica Technical Lead) within the CCIBT Platform Core Services Team. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership, operational support, engineering oversight, and strategic direction for the enterprise Informatica platform ecosystem, including Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), and associated data integration technologies supporting critical business services across the enterprise.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives related to Informatica platform availability, resiliency, capacity management, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.

  • Provide advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support for Informatica production environments, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and platform issues.

  • Lead migration efforts from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC and support cloud transformation initiatives.

  • Drive Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management processes following ITIL best practices.

  • Perform root cause analysis for platform issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve platform stability and reliability.

  • Partner with application development teams to onboard, support, optimize, and modernize ETL workloads

  • Establish monitoring, observability, alerting, and health reporting capabilities for Informatica services and data pipelines.

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, vulnerability remediation, access management, and audit requirements.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams supporting Linux, Windows, database, cloud, and middleware technologies.

  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate support activities with Informatica and cloud service providers.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Data Integration, Middleware Engineering, or related technology disciplines.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Informatica PowerCenter in large-scale Linux enterprise environments, managing Informatica platform upgrades, vulnerability analysis, migrations, patching, performance tuning, and operational support.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud) platforms and cloud-based data integration services.

  • 5+ years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire ecosystem (i.e. applications to infrastructure), identifying root cause, fixing, and documenting problems, and implementing preventive measures.

  • 3+ years of experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or similar platforms.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Informatica Professional Certification (PowerCenter and/or IDMC).

  • Experience migrating workloads from PowerCenter to IDMC/CDI-PC.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deployment automation.

  • Experience with scripting and automation technologies including PowerShell, Python, Shell Scripting, or Ansible.

  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar tools, including knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and operational best practices.

  • Experience supporting enterprise data platforms within highly regulated industries.

  • Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, metadata management, and information security controls.

  • Experience leading platform modernization, cloud transformation, and data integration strategy initiatives.


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as assigned.

  • Ability to work on call assigned and support a 24x7 follow-the-sun operating model.

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed during major incidents, high-risk change windows, customer-impacting events, or periods of elevated operational volume.

  • Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced production-support environment that requires rapid triage, accurate communication, disciplined documentation, and timely escalation.

  • Ability to maintain readiness for emergency banner support, stakeholder notifications, incident bridge participation, and executive visibility updates when customer or business impact is probable or confirmed

Pay range:

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
