Full Job Description

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

What you’ll do:

Support, maintain, enhance, and modernize enterprise-grade ASP.NET Web Forms applications hosted on Windows Server and IIS. Provide hands-on application support across C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Visual Studio, Git, SQL Server, Entra ID SSO, OWIN middleware, and related Windows-based application technologies.

Drive application reliability, audit readiness, controlled software delivery, and process optimization by learning the existing application architecture, understanding documented SOX control narratives, producing evidence for recurring audit testing, and ensuring code changes are developed, tested, documented, and deployed through established change control processes.

Focus on transitioning from legacy, application-specific support practices to more standardized, sustainable operating models by improving documentation, strengthening evidence-generation procedures, reducing manual support effort, enhancing deployment discipline, and preparing the application for future modernization from ASP.NET Web Forms to a newer technology platform.

  • Architecture & Design: Evaluate and support the architecture of a business-critical ASP.NET Web Forms application, including IIS hosting, SQL Server integrations, Entra ID SSO, OWIN middleware, role-based access logic, approval workflows, audit logging, and evidence-producing processes. Identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability, documentation, and modernization readiness.
  • Agile & DevOps Enablement: Support Agile and DevOps practices by maintaining disciplined Git-based source control, documenting release procedures, validating application changes, and following established change control processes. Help modernize the deployment model from manual or semi-manual releases toward secure, repeatable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, REVUP, and standardized deployment automation.
  • Dataand AI-Enabled Release Management Strategy: Support the evolution from manual or application-specific release practices toward standardized, repeatable, and auditable delivery models. Use application data, SQL Server records, audit logs, change documentation, and operational reporting to improve release readiness, risk assessment, deployment validation, and production reliability. Identify opportunities to introduce automation, analytics, and reporting improvements that reduce manual effort and strengthen change control execution.
  • Requirements & Integration: Translate business, operational, and audit-related needs into technical specifications for application enhancements, defect resolution, reporting, access management, and evidence-generation processes. Support reliable integration across ASP.NET Web Forms, SQL Server, IIS, Windows Server, Entra ID SSO, OWIN middleware, email notifications, and related enterprise infrastructure.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide cross-functional business, application, infrastructure, and support teams through enhancement planning, defect resolution, release readiness, production support, and modernization activities. Align technical solutions with business objectives while improving application reliability, maintainability, audit readiness, and operational execution.
  • Performance & Reliability: Proactively monitor and analyze applications, SQL Server, IIS, Windows Server, and infrastructure performance to identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and reduce production incidents. Track, assess, and remediate application and platform vulnerabilities, coordinating patching activities across application code, IIS, Windows Server, SQL Server, third-party components, and related dependencies to ensure remediation is completed within defined SLAs. Build dashboards and operational reporting to track application health, release progress, defect trends, incident metrics, audit readiness, vulnerability remediation status, patching progress, SLA compliance, and continuous improvement outcomes.
  • Governance & Compliance: Standardize release and change management practices through secure, auditable, and repeatable processes for change documentation, deployment validation, approval tracking, access control, audit evidence, and post-release verification. Strengthen compliance, reduce operational risk, and improve production readiness across the application environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leverage post-release analytics, incident trends, defect patterns, and stakeholder feedback to refine support processes, release practices, documentation, monitoring, and production readiness. Identify and adopt practical improvements in automation, reporting, tooling, and modernization to increase reliability, reduce risk, and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain standardized documentation, process guides, training materials, and operational playbooks for release and change management practices. Provide training to enterprise partners on RM/CM workflows, reporting, risk identification, audit traceability, and repeatable processes that improve deployment readiness and operational consistency.
  • Mentoring; Drives Culture of Continuous Improvement: Mentor team members and enterprise partners on application support, release/change management discipline, documentation standards, audit readiness, and operational troubleshooting. Promote knowledge sharing, process consistency, and practical improvements that strengthen reliability, delivery quality, and support effectiveness.

Whatyou’ll need:

  • Strong knowledge of the software development, DevOps, release management, change management, and IT service management environments. Experience supporting controlled, auditable software delivery for enterprise applications, including source control, release documentation, deployment validation, change approvals, post-release verification, and production support processes.
  • Data and AI-Enabled Operations Skillset: Experience using application data, SQL Server records, audit logs, change records, operational reports, KPI metrics, and dashboards to improve release readiness, change quality, vulnerability remediation tracking, SLA compliance, production reliability, and audit readiness. Familiarity with SQL-based reporting, to support documentation, reporting, risk identification, and process automation.
  • Governance and Communication: Experience establishing and improving process frameworks, standardized playbooks, release/change management procedures, audit evidence practices, vulnerability remediation tracking, patching documentation, and operational support models.
