Roles and Responsibilities

  • • Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, new product introduction and readiness, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. Collaborates with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement. Demonstrates technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors and solve problems.
    • Exhibits depth and/or breadth of expertise in supplier quality. Serves as a quality resource to the business. Contributes to the development of strategy and policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.
    • Ability to communicate complex messages to others and influence outcomes. May lead projects with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and procurement. Develops networks and is able to work through complex issues to build consensus with the team.
    • Impacts approaches, projects and programs supporting the business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Working within broad guidelines and policies, roles at this level have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.
    • Uses sound judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function as well as cross-functional impact. Creative problem solver, using new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and data analysis to support recommendations. Leverages internal and external resources to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in (Supplier Quality / Supplier Development) experience) + Minimum of 3 years of Supplier quality/Supplier Development experience
  • Ability to travel as needed to supplier locations.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
