Full Job Description
Duties: Design and architect OpenShift container platform for enterprise applications. Lead the deployment, configuration, upgrade and management of OpenShift clusters. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance. Define CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies for OpenShift container platform. Provide input and design assistance during the implementation of technical designs and plans by the Supplier(s). Understand and help lead the vendor through the complex interworking between technology stacks. Assist the solutions engineering consultant in analyzing business requirements and developing complex technical solutions. Research of potential system solutions, including evaluating product and vendor products and services. Help vendors identify the root cause of, and recommend corrective actions in response to, system outages or performance issues and will track vendor remediation plans. Work independently on medium-scale and complexity projects or problem-solving exercises. Recommend vendors take corrective action as needed based on an understanding how SLAs are built, monitored, and measured. Monitor vendor progress across a variety of projects and remediation plans. Collaborate with Supplier(s) and provide direction on change implementation plans. Assist the Solutions Engineer Consultant to prepare strategy and roadmap presentations. Analyze daily/weekly/monthly reports that track Supplier(s) adherence to SLA and KPI metrics. Participate in P1/P2/P3 troubleshooting calls as requested. Involve in approving vendor RCAs. Be available for on-call rotation. Work collaboratively with all IT functions. 100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the U.S. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or foreign equivalent, and five (5) years of experience in an IT Infrastructure design and implementation role or related position. Experience must include: Designing, administrating and supporting the Kubernetes platforms including RedHat OpenShift Container Platform. Application servers (JBoss, Tomcat) and Web servers (Apache and IIS) and experience in configuration, troubleshooting and performance tuning of the application and web servers. F5 Load Balancer, Bind DNS and Cloudflare DNS. Automation experience in Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes package manager Helm. Multiple DevOps (Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD, or Artifactory,) tools, and techniques and experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management. Working with SDLC and Information Technology Infrastructure (ITIL) processes.
