Full Job Description

JOB LOCATION: 4807 Stonecroft Blvd., Chantilly, VA 20151

DUTIES: Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting)and maintenance with a focus on automation. Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages. Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting. In addition to Unit Test, responsibilities may include dynamic application security testing, interface testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing and/or user acceptance testing. Supports applications and solves configuration and environment issues. Supports the software deployment process. Utilize Python, PL/SQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL. Utilize UNIX/Linux, and Shell scripting.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology and 5 Years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 Years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Java, Go Lang, shell scripting and python; applying advanced knowledge of Terraform, Packer scripting for cloud automation, Docker and containerd orchestration in Kubernetes Orchestration Paas platform; utilizing GitOPS using Flux and HelmCharts, CI/CD with DevOps and Jenkins pipeline tools; utilizing in configuration management using Ansible, Cloud init scripts in YAML and JSON; utilizing Cloud IaaS Platforms on OpenStack/Cloud, Stack/Azure, and Linux/Ubuntu based on operating system; applying advance knowledge in Observability with Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenSearch Tools, Agile and DevOps Model; using Java Full Stack and Large Language Model to include Retrieval Augmented Generation and other Machine Learning automation; working with large scale enterprise applications where solutions need to be streamlined to support large data sets that need to be performance tuned; architecting a dynamic scalable solution to work with high volume of data and transactions.
