We are seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Java Backend Developer with 8 to 12 years of software engineering experience to build, optimize, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications. In this role, you will take ownership of microservice development, lead feature implementation, optimize database queries, and establish solid engineering practices within the team. While the main focus is backend design and development, hands-on experience or working familiarity with modern UI frameworks is highly desirable for effective full-stack collaboration. Design, construct, and maintain high-throughput, fault-tolerant microservices using Java and the Spring Framework ecosystem. Lead feature engineering, write maintainable and well-tested code, conduct rigorous code reviews, and mentor junior developers. Implement RESTful APIs, design and manage relational/NoSQL schemas, optimize query performance, and integrate caching solutions. Identify bottlenecks, perform thread and memory profiling, and ensure high availability and responsiveness across backend services Work with DevOps to manage containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) and automate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in cloud settings (AWS/GCP/Azure). Partner with product managers, QA, and frontend engineers to define API contracts and integrate end-to-end software solutions. Advanced proficiency in Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Hibernate/JPA. Solid grasp of microservices design patterns, RESTful API architecture, API gateways, and distributed components. Strong hands-on experience with Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra). Experience using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or standard enterprise messaging queues. Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), Git, and Maven/Gradle. In-depth knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, integration testing, TDD principles, and profiling tools. Working knowledge or hands-on exposure to modern UI frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js. Basic understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. Experience integrating frontend components with RESTful/GraphQL APIs, WebSockets, and state management (Redux/NgRx). Experience using API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI) and API gateways (Kong, Apigee). Agile/Scrum.
