JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Deliver features across all architecture layers using latest technology stacks. Design, analyze, develop, adopt, and perform unit testing, test-driven development, regression automation, and behavior-driven development to deliver product backlog for large and complex projects. Communicate and collaborate on development items with global team, as well as resolve issues impacting development. Maintain responsibility for application components through DevOps and the software development lifecycle. Adhere to firm-wide architecture standards, risk management, and security policies. Participate in quality assurance, peer reviews, and code reviews. Adopt and practice Agile methodologies including story grooming, sprint planning, complexity analysis, standup calls, and sprint retrospectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, IT Consultant, Associate (IT), or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Software Engineer, Software Engineer/Developer, IT Consultant, Associate (IT), or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: developing web-based applications using React, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Java, and REST API. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: assessing business requirements from JIRA stories and translating them into technical approaches; collaborating with product managers and operations teams to deliver cloud-based solutions that support client needs; analyzing complex customer data; developing and maintaining dynamic and interactive metrics dashboards using Python, Django, Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn; working with public or private cloud-native stacks, building on AWS, and using Kubernetes, Lambda, and ECS; messaging queues using Kafka, ActiveMQ, and RabbitMQ; performing object-oriented design and test driven development; test automation frameworks including Junit and Mockito; performing statistical analysis using machine learning methods including at least 2 of the following: logistic regression, multivariate regression, classification techniques, attribution, cohort analysis, associative rule mining, and predictive modeling; SQL queries, Views, Stored Proc and triggers using Oracle and postgres databases.
