Position Location: This role supports our Fremont, CA branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater San Francisco, CA area.
Security Systems Service Technicians ensure all systems and components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. These systems and components include cctv or ip cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team. Our Security Service Technicians are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their building inhabitants safe.
As a Security Service Technician, you will:- Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
- Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
- Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
- Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
- Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
- On-Call one week per month, flexibility within your weekly schedule and capacity to work overtime
You will make an impact with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission and factors that impact video rates and quality. and basic switch, router, and firewall principles
- Must be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
- Extensive Access control Experience
- Certifications in Lendl S2, Genetec, CCure Certified
- 7+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems
- Ability to read/understand design and construction documents

The pay range for this position is $82,753 - $141,862 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
