Job DescriptionThe Impact you will have in this role:Being a member of TFS application team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. You will develop, conduct, and evaluate testing processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects. You will have in-depth knowledge of automated testing tools, and quality control and assurance approaches including the creation of reusable foundational test automation framework for the entire organization. You are also responsible for the validation of non-functional requirements for performance testing
Your Primary Responsibilities:- Develop proven grasp of the DTCC Software Delivery process, Performance Test Engineering framework, CoE (Center of Excellence) Engagement process as well as understanding of tech-stack (tools and technologies) to perform day-to-day job
- Develop a strong understanding of the logical architecture and technical design of the applications being supported
- Work closely with application development, IT Architecture, and other key partners to understand application design and baseline against the defined resiliency principles
- Create performance/resiliency test scenarios and synthetic test data as per the data distribution and volume requirements
- Maintain traceability across Non-Functional Requirements, Performance Test Scenarios and Defects
- Develop resiliency/performance test automation scripts leveraging Jmeter / Gremlin / in-house test automation framework
- Contribute to the technical aspects of Delivery Pipeline adoption
- Track defects to closure, report test results, continuously monitor execution milestones and escalate as required
- Adhere to all process standards, guidelines, and documented procedures
Qualifications:- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:- Basic Java / Selenium development skills with significant experience applying those skills in test environments.
- Chaos Engineering / Resiliency Testing experience for distributed applications using tools like Gremlin or AWS FIS
- Able to interpret technical designs and specifications and design automated solutions accordingly.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and developing shell scripts
- Experience in performance engineering (analysis, testing, and tuning) and developing scripts using Jmeter
- Experience in Relational Databases, preferably Oracle
- Knowledge of performance analysis of distributed platforms including Linux, Windows, AWS, Containers and VMware (tools: Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, TeamQuest)
- Capable of working on multiple work streams concurrently in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking and context switching.
- Experience with AWS tools a plus
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
