Full Job Description
DUTIES: Prepares and reviews statistical exhibits used for analyses and makes projections. Prepares and reviews statistics for internal management information reports, such as those covering marketing, sales, competitive and loss information. Completes product development packages analyzes large and complex datasets to develop product changes. Develops and implements favorable business solutions. Maintains, updates, redesigns and develops data sources and regular information sources. Checks and balances data sources for reasonability. Organizes various data primarily through personal computing, using languages such as R, Python, SAS, EXCEL, SQL and other modeling tools. Assists new analysts in updating existing predictive models, reports or data pulls with limited changes. Creates new models, reports and data pulls. Presents observations of analyses to supervisor and other department staff. Performs specialized research on projects using advanced analytical techniques. Leads and provides expertise to Research and Development associates in order to develop strategies for new and complex analyses. Automates current processes to improve department efficiency. Designs data requirements, testing databases and experience reports. Assists in coordination with IT on requested systems changes. Acts as subject matter expert in at least one area. Develops and maintains existing data and information sources for the unit. Investigates new data sources to be used by the unit and department. Organizes various data primarily through personal computing, using appropriate programming languages. Manages complex data pulls and large dataset extractions. Investigates new tools to assist in analyses. Conducts analytical projects supporting mid to high level business problems or product features. Employs basic statistical techniques to model various business practices. Takes ownership of low complexity business problems, plan items and product features. Develops and conducts training sessions for the Research and Development unit. May undergo background checks. May require pre-hire technical screen. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days work from home - Must be able to report to local office. Multiple positions open. Salary $119,850 to $160,000 per year.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Data Sci, Economics, Comp Sci, Operations Research, related Engineering field, or other related quantitative or analytics field. Five (5) years of related analytical experience. Also requires the following skills (3 years exp) in: SAS SQL, Cloud database, R, Excel v-look-up, pivot tables, charts and graphing, insurance rating products and principles, and analyzing data using statistics, mathematical or data mining methods; and (2 years exp) in: process control, project management, and claims, underwriting, marketing or agent. Required experience and skills can be gained concurrent with academic studies.

OR Master's degree in Statistics, Math, Data Sci, Economics, Comp Sci, Operations Research, related Engineering field, or other related quantitative or analytics field. Three (3) years of related analytical experience.
