Job Description: Up to 20K Sign on Bonus Up to 10K Relocation - Initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures, maintains patient records, and selects, assembles, checks, and operates respiratory equipment.
- Responds to various emergency codes, performing duties such as maintaining the airway, intubation, chest compressions, and ventilator setup.
- Determines requirements for treatment, including type, method, duration of therapy, precautions, and medication dosages compatible with providers' orders. Performs diagnostic testing per facility needs.
- Monitors patients' physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, consulting with providers if adverse reactions occur.
- Educates patients and their families about their conditions and teaches disease management techniques, such as breathing exercises and the use of medications and respiratory equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. [Required].
- Additional languages preferred. [Preferred].
- Possess a broad Respiratory knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently [Required].
- Demonstrated supervisory skills [Required].
- Good communication skills for interdepartmental relationships [Required].
Education: - Associate's in respiratory therapy or cardiopulmonary science [Required]
Work Experience: - 3+ years experience in a hospital as an RRT [Required]
- 1+ years of critical care experience [Required]
Licenses and Certifications: - State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Preferred]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:$28.68 - $53.35
