What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking a Lead Product Owner who can lead project delivery and requirements gathering for Corporate Real Estate initiatives in the new AI landscape. This role motivates and keeps development teams focused while facilitating the collaborative delivery of strategic and compliance initiatives. Working across multiple development teams, this position is responsible for the continuous transformation of customers' delivery models and establishes consistent agile practices.

What will you do?
  • Discussing and determining product backlogs for each sprint, and reviewing the outputs of all sprints, to make sure they are in alignment with the product requirements.
  • Operating within the AI software development approach (AIDLC), accelerating discovery, requirement gathering, development and refinement using RBC AI tools
  • Defining and conveying the vision of what is to be built for the scrum team, to address client requirements and ensure successful product for business objectives.
  • Working closely with the scrum master and development team, to ensure the right things to be focused on and completed during the development process.
  • Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs
  • Recommend improvements and assist in changes to recommended practices
  • Assist with internal and external communication for transparency of information
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
  • Participate in the organization and planning of the development schedule to create a cohesive plan with identifiable critical path, task dependencies, and major milestones
  • Manage agreed project plans and schedules, ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, time, and quality parameters
  • Adapt project plans, schedules, and resource assignments to respond to emerging requirements and risks
  • Fully track project progress, remove impediments, identify risks, and provide resolutions for project issues
  • Assume accountability alongside the scrum team for achievement of release objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders' needs and expectations
  • Manage risks to delivery
  • Track and report financials for the team
  • Create and maintain appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team to foster a trusting and safe environment
  • Report team progress and accomplishments up and across the organization
  • Facilitate status updates, product demos, and retrospectives


What do you need to succeed?

Must Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Thorough understanding of agile software development lifecycle methodologies, values, and procedures
  • Multiple years' experience working with agile methodology during large-scale, complex new development projects for large enterprises
  • Exposure to Project/Program delivery in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
  • Practical experience with key disciplines required in agile delivery such as software development or business (system) analysis
  • Ability to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and well-documented Agile techniques (User Stories, Burndown techniques, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous testing, etc.)

Nice to Have:
  • Industry Certified Scrum Master with project management and hands-on Scrum Master experience
  • Certified Agile Practitioner or equivalent
  • Experience with AI DLC and RBC AI tools
