Full Job Description
We are hiring a Lead Product Manager - Search & Recommendations to own the product strategy and roadmap for omni-channel Search and Recommendations as part of Lowe's Enterprise Discovery charter. This role will shape how customers find, discover, evaluate, and complete their shopping missions across Lowe's digital and store experiences. The role will lead high-visibility customer discovery experiences spanning search relevance, personalized recommendations, basket building, and emerging AI-led discovery, with a focus on improving customer engagement and ecommerce growth. The ideal candidate brings product management experience within large-scale ecommerce and/or hands-on ownership of AI-powered customer-facing products at scale.

The Lead Product Manager will balance investments in foundational Search and Recommendations capabilities with emerging AI-led experiences, translating customer needs, business priorities, and technology opportunities into measurable outcomes. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and partners closely with Engineering, Data Science, UX, Analytics, and business teams.

What You Will Do
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Search & Recommendations within Lowe's omni-channel Discovery portfolio.
  • Set strategic priorities across search relevance, recommendations, personalization, and AI-led discovery, balancing customer outcomes, business value, foundational capabilities, and emerging technology.
  • Translate customer needs and shopping behavior into product opportunities using analytics, customer research, funnel insights, and ecommerce KPIs.
  • Lead an experimentation-driven product strategy, defining hypotheses, success metrics, and guardrails and using A/B testing and behavioral insights to inform investment decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and UX to build scalable experiences leveraging semantic understanding, ranking and recommendation models, customer/context signals, personalization, and Generative AI.
  • Drive end-to-end execution from problem definition and prioritization through delivery, experimentation, launch, and optimization.
  • Define and own product OKRs and health metrics, connecting Discovery performance to customer and business outcomes.
  • Build reusable Discovery intelligence and platform capabilities that enable connected experiences rather than isolated point solutions.
  • Influence priorities across the broader Discovery ecosystem, aligning cross-functional teams around shared outcomes, dependencies, and investment decisions.
  • Serve as a domain leader for Search & Recommendations, bringing external perspective on ecommerce, AI Search, personalization, recommendations, and agentic discovery to shape longer-term strategy.
  • Communicate product strategy, performance, and investment trade-offs to senior leaders and advocate for the highest-value opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, communications, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 7 years of experience in two or more of the following: project management, product management, business analysis, program management, experimentation, or product marketing
  • 5 years of experience in product and/or experience management
  • Experience in an agile software environment with proficiency in product marketing and strong writing ability
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a large organization with senior leadership
  • Experience translating data into quantifiable actions/deliverables

Preferred Skills
  • Product management experience with a large-scale ecommerce retailer.
  • Significant experience in Search, Recommendations, Personalization, Discovery, or adjacent ecommerce capabilities.
  • Understanding of modern Search and Recommendation concepts, including intent understanding, ranking, semantic search, recommendation systems, personalization, customer/context signals, and experimentation.
  • Experience building or scaling AI/ML-powered customer-facing products; Generative AI and agentic discovery experience is a plus.
  • Ability to influence Engineering, Data Science, UX, Marketing, Digital Customer Engagement, business operations, and peer product teams.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics and AI tools.
  • Strong understanding of OKRs and ecommerce KPIs, including connecting engagement metrics to conversion, revenue, and customer outcomes.
  • Experience combining quantitative analytics, experimentation, and qualitative customer research to shape product strategy.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, setting long-term direction while maintaining the depth needed to make strong product decisions.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to explain complex AI concepts and product trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
  • Master's degree in business administration or similar advanced degree.
  • Experience providing guidance and direction to cross-functional resources.
  • CSPO certification.
